Birkenhead Primary Care Network (PCN) is a one of the Highest Performing Vaccination Teams in the Country –Matt Hancock, the Health Secretary.

In a letter to Mr Whitley, the Member of Parliament, Mr Hancock prises Birkenhead PCN Vaccination team for their fantastic efforts to be one of the best performing COVID vaccination team in the country. The health Secretary wrote, “Birkenhead is a large PCN and despite covering an area with high level of deprivation and inequalities, it has the highest absolute number of vaccination in the region for cohort 1-5.” Mr Hancock thanked all those involved for the part they are playing in this national effort.

Mr Whitley wrote “this is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work of everyone involved in the vaccination programme locally from GP and nurses to volunteers who have given up their own time to assist with the rollout.“
