Welcome to The Villa Medical Centre

We would like to the welcome you to the Villa Medical Centre’s website. With patients’ needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need.  As well as specific practice details such as  opening hours and  how to register. We hope you enjoy having a look around the site and familiarizing yourself with some of the online features such as ordering a repeat prescription . Whatever your thoughts, be sure to let us know via our feedback function . Comments and suggestions are always a great way of helping us continue to enhance the way we look after you.

WE HAVE CHANGED THE WAY YOU CAN CONSULT AND COMMUNICATE WITH US

We thank all our patients for working with the Practice whilst we are going through this period of unprecedented change.  We continue to provide care for the community in line with government national and local guidance while continuing to respond to the healthcare needs of our patients.

To respond to the new demands and pressures due to pandemic, we HAVE increased the way you can contact the practice by introducing e-Consult. Using digital platforms like e-Consult,  will hopefully greatly reduce long waiting times for help with your healthcare issues.  We ask that whenever possible, if you need to seek healthcare advice, you do this via our digital platform e-Consult, our telephone lines are extremely busy.  Our goal is to increase efficiency, convenience and continuity when interacting with our services and consultation with our GP’s. Please note you should only seek advice from our services during our opening hours. During evenings, weekends and bank holidays, you should always contact NHS 111, do not wait for us to re-open.

Change online consultation hours

You will now be able to submit  Online Consultations during our core working hours  between 08:00 – 18:30 Monday to Friday.

ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTIONS -EPS4 We have updated to Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) which will mean that almost all of our prescriptions will be processed electronically. Read more about EPS on the NHS website.

Queen’s Jubilee bank holiday 2022

The practice will be closed for the Jubilee Bank Holiday on Thursday 2 June and Friday 3 June 2022 for the Queen’s Jubilee. The surgery will re-open its services Monday 6th June.

The Wirral GP Out of Hours service will be available while the surgery is closed. Wirral GP Out of Hours service is accessed through the NHS 111 service and provides urgent medical help and advice for patients who are unable to wait for their GP practice to re-open.

Please kindly take this into account & ensure to order your repeat prescriptions to avoid running out whilst the surgery is closed. Repeat prescriptions ordered through the surgery take 48 working hours (excluding bank holidays) to process.

Those with life- threatening emergencies should continue to call 999 when it is necessary.  Chest pain/ shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
