Welcome to The Villa Medical Centre

With patients’ needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need.  As well as specific practice details such as  opening hours and  how to register  you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant web pages.

We hope you enjoy having a look around the site and familiarizing yourself with some of the online features such as ordering a repeat prescription . Whatever your thoughts, be sure to let us know via our feedback function . Comments and suggestions are always a great way of helping us continue to enhance the way we look after you.

We are upgrading to the next phase of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) which will mean that almost all of our prescriptions will be processed electronically from 13TH July 2020

You have the following choices for how this works:

  1. You can choose (nominate) a pharmacy to dispense all of your prescriptions. When you get a prescription, it will be sent electronically to the pharmacy you have chosen.
  2. If we don’t have your nominated pharmacy details, we will automatically send it to the nearest pharmacy to your home address.
  3. You can decide each time you are issued a prescription where you would like it to be dispensed. When you are issued a prescription, it will be sent to the secure NHS Database. You can then collect your prescription from any pharmacy by identifying yourself with your NHS Number.

Read more about EPS on the NHS website.

Our goal is to increase efficiency, convenience and continuity when interacting with our services and consulting with our GPs.

Using digital platforms, like eConsult and our website, we want to greatly reduce long waiting times for answers you need now. From 22ND June 2020 we are not offering future appointments with a GP. Every request to see or speak to a GP  will need be requested via our digital platform  eConsult.

The Practice will aim to respond to your eConsult within two working days as a maximum. If you submit an eConsult over the weekend, please note it will not be processed until the surgery re-opens on Monday with a response time of within two working days from then at the latest (Wednesday 6pm).

Emergencies Outside of Surgery Hours: Please call 111 if you require urgent medical attention. IF YOU A HAVE LIFE THREATENING MEDICAL EMERGENCY CALL 999
