Carer Support Groups in Wirral for unpaid carers

Carer Support Groups are an opportunity for carers to meet other carers and to also have a break from their caring role, WIRED currently offer a number of Carer Support Groups which carers can access free of charge.

St James Centre Carers Luncheon Club

Where: St James Centre Cafe, St James Centre, 344 Laird Street, Birkenhead, CH41 7AL

When: 1st & 3rd Friday of the month 12-2pm

More information: Free tea and coffee and 50% of lunch at the St James Centre Cafe. This is a great opportunity to meet other carers and also enjoy a low cost lunch. Free on street parking available

If you are interested in starting a carer support group in your area, or you would like us to explore starting a group in your area, then please email get in touch with the Carers Health and Wellbeing Service by emailing cws@wired.me.uk or calling 0151 670 0777. We will be happy to provide practical support to help get the group started, practical support could include finding a venue, some initial support with group running costs, help with leaflets and promoting the group and useful tips for making sure the group is an accessible and welcoming space for carers.
