New local COVID-19 restrictions in place for Wirral
Local restrictions introduced in areas of the North West, including Wirral, in response to the rise in the number of people testing positive for COVID-19.
In Merseyside, Warrington, Halton and Lancashire (excluding Blackpool and Greater Manchester), the following restrictions will be in place from Tuesday 22 September:

We understand that the restrictions will be reviewed but are expected to remain in place for a number of weeks to reduce the spread of the virus and save lives.
NHS services, including GP practices, are working hard to provide care safely and are not affected by the new restrictions. Please follow government safety advice if attending an appointment.
