Dr Neil Cookson – Happy Retirement!
With deep gratitude for his leadership and vision, we announce the upcoming retirement of our Executive Partner, Dr Neil Cookson. We wish our beloved Dr Cookson a happy retirement as he makes his last working day at Villa Medical Centre on Friday 16th October 2021.
Dr Cookson’s 30 years of working as a GP and striving to help have indeed been an absolute joy to everyone, staff, and patients alike. Dr Cookson has indeed made a permanent mark on everyone here at the Villa Medical Centre. He will be irreplaceable in the eyes of everyone who has been lucky enough to have been graced with his warm presence.
On Wednesday 14th October, staff and doctors gathered together (keeping social distance) to celebrate his 30 years of being a loyal friend, caring doctor, a thoughtful mentor to us all. Dr Cookson thanked all staff and his loyal patients. He said working as a GP was a great experience. He explained that reaching retirement age was a new experience, sobering in many ways but also the start of a new phase of life and would like to wish all the best for the surgery and all his patients.
We wish Neil a happy retirement from full-time work, and thank him for his service to NHS over the years on the behalf of staff and patients
