Flu Clinics

We are now inviting patients to book appointment for flu vaccination for this year and you will receive text message asking to call the surgery to book in.

Flu clinics will be held at the Villa Medical Centre Please contact the surgery for further details  0151 608 4702.

We are asking patients to follow these guidelines when attending their flu vaccination appointment:

  • Please wear a face covering when attending the practice.
  • Arrive promptly, ideally as close you your appointment time as possible.
  • Please wear clothing that ensures your arm is ready for the vaccination as soon as you go in to see the clinician e.g. a short sleeve top, with any jacket /coat /jumper removed whilst you wait.
  • Please cancel your appointment as soon as possible if you are unable to attend – these clinics are extremely popular and this means we can offer the slot to someone else.
  • As with all appointments at the current time, please do no visit the practice if you have any of the following: A fever, cough, have lost your sense of taste or smell, have recently had a positive COVID-19 test result or are awaiting a COVID-19 test result. Please cancel and rearrange your appointment if you have any of these symptoms.

Who can get a free flu jab?

This year the flu jab will be offered to:

  1. All children who are aged two and three on 31 August 2021
  2. Those aged six months to under 50 years in clinical risk groups
  3. Pregnant women
  4. Those aged 50 years and over
  5. People in residential care
  6. Unpaid carers
  7. Close contacts of people with weakened immune systems
  8. Health and care staff
